2016 BlackSeaRama Vivacom Pro-Am: The Magnificent 8th

The 8th edition of the BlackSeaRama Pro-Am has been added to the PGAs of Europe’s 2016 Sanctioned Event lineup, taking place from 12th to 15th July on the stunning Black Sea east coast of Bulgaria.

As one of the most significant and emblematic events in the BlackSeaRama Golf & Villas’ event calendar, the Pro-Am will see four-person teams of three amateurs and a PGA Professional compete over 54 holes on some of Europe’s best golf courses.  Professionals will battle it out for a prize fund of €25,000*.

The host venue’s own Gary Player design, par 72, cliff-top links course will play host to the final round of the Pro-Am, whilst the nearby Thracian Cliffs Golf & Beach Resort, also designed by Gary Player, and the Ian Woosnam-designed Lighthouse Golf & Spa Resort, will host the other two rounds.

The tournament week also sees BlackSeaRama host a variety of off-course events for competitors to sample the local cultural delights of the Cape Kaliakra bay of Bulgaria.

In 2015, almost 12 months to the day since winning his first BlackSeaRama Pro-Am, the PGA of Germany’s Jonathan Grogan successfully defended his title after a closing one-under 71 at BlackSeaRama Golf & Villas gave him a six-under total for the week.

There is no fee for a PGA Professional bringing a team of three amateurs, and amateur packages begin at €969 per person.

Flights are not included but those entrants booking with Turkish Airlines can access preferential flight ticket prices.
