3rd Race to BlackSeaRama Tournament at GC Adamstal Franz Wittmann
For the third year in a row, on July 9th, one of the most spectacular golf courses in Europe, a member of Leading Golf Courses and three times voted the ‘Austrian Golf Course of the Year’ - GC Adamstal Franz Wittmann was host of the RACE TO BLACKSEARAMA tournament supported by BlackSeaRama Golf & Villas.
More than 140 Austrian golfers joined the RACE TO BLACKSEARAMA and teed-off the 18-hole championship course in good weather conditions, in spite of the rainy pre-tournament morning.
The tournament was challenging as each of the eighteen Adamstal holes showed its own character. The course designer Jeff Howes has successfully integrated ditches and terraces, forest glades and rocks into the wonderful landscape. All players, grouped in three divisions, demonstrated excellent golf performance and etiquette during this Stableford competition.
After the thrilling tournament round the participants enjoyed a BlackSeaRama wine tasting and barbeque dinner at Adamstal Clubhouse. On the prize-giving ceremony, the Deputy Managing Director of BlackSeaRama Mr Marko Stoychev congratulated the winners and presented the awards – vouchers for golf trips to BlackSeaRama Golf & Villas and magnums of BlackSeaRama wine.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation to all tournament participant for their ardent game, Golfclub Adamstal for the warm hospitality and Mr Franz Wittmann for his continued support.
Congratulations to the winners and we look forward to welcoming all of them and all tournament participants as well at BlackSeaRama Golf & Villas.
Golf Club Adamstal is located on the outskirts of Vienna in the Lower Austrian Alps in Ramsau at Hainfeld and is one of the most beautiful golf courses in Austria. The golf club was opened in 1995 as Adamstal 9-hole course. The fascinating fairways follow the idyllic valley of the Wall Erbachs. In 1997 the Canadian architect Jeff Howes redesigned the course and it was expanded to 18 holes. In 2007 ten more tracks were added to a 19th hole that can be played as a betting hole.
